Privacy Policy

Free Content runs on your computer: your videos, scripts, AI keys and social media logins stay on your machine. This page explains the little that reaches us, why, and how to ask us to delete it. It follows Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13,709/2018).

1. Who we are

Free Content is a Windows and Mac app that creates and publishes videos with AI, sold at freecontent.com.br. We are the controller of the data described here. For any privacy matter, write to [email protected].

2. What stays only on your computer

This is never sent to us:

the videos, scripts, voiceovers, images and projects you create;
your API keys (Google Gemini, NVIDIA and others);
your social media logins and sessions. The app posts through a browser running on your PC, so we never see your passwords;
the clients and accounts you add to the app.

3. Data the website collects

IP address: used for at most 1 minute to limit excessive requests (abuse protection). We don't store it.
Download count: when you download the installer, we compute an irreversible code (hash) from your IP and browser, only so the same person isn't counted twice in a day. It disappears within 24 hours. We keep only the total.
Visit counter: your browser stores the date of your last visit in local storage (see the Cookie Policy). The server keeps only the total.
Ideas & bug report form: what you write, your e-mail (if given), screenshots and logs you attach, app version, operating system, browser language and approximate country (from the IP, without storing the IP).

The website uses no Google Analytics, no ad pixels and no tracking tools.

4. Data the app sends

Machine ID (HWID): an identifier generated from the computer's hardware. It contains no name or files and is used to tie the license to one computer.
Free trial and license: HWID, e-mail (if given), plan and expiry date.
Daily usage signal: app version, plan, operating system and architecture, how many videos succeeded or failed on each network, which first-run steps you went through, and the last 5 errors with a short log excerpt. It helps us find and fix failures. The log excerpt may contain folder names from your computer.
Feedback: if you answer the in-app question, we send the options you picked, your text, your e-mail (optional), the usage summary above and the approximate country.

5. Third-party services

We don't sell or rent your data. We use these services so the website and app can work:

Cloudflare	website hosting, servers and the license database
Google Fonts	website fonts (Google receives your IP when the page loads)
YouTube	video tutorials (the player only loads when you click play; then Google receives your IP)
GitHub	hosting of the installer and updates
Mercado Pago and Hotmart	payment. We receive your e-mail and purchase details; card data never passes through us
Resend	sending license and support e-mails
Google, NVIDIA and other AI providers	when the app generates a script, voiceover or image, the required text and images go straight from your PC to the provider, with the key in use, under that provider's policy
YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and other networks	publishing happens between your PC and the network, with your account and under each network's policy

Some of these services store data outside Brazil. Such transfers follow article 33 of the LGPD, with providers that offer contractual data protection safeguards.

6. Why we use the data

Performance of a contract (art. 7, V): issuing the trial, validating the license and delivering what you bought.
Legitimate interest (art. 7, IX): protecting the website from abuse, counting downloads and understanding where the app fails so we can fix it.
Consent (art. 7, I): the e-mail and messages you choose to send us. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legal obligation (art. 7, II): sales records required by tax law.

7. How long we keep it

IP for rate limiting: up to 1 minute. Download code: up to 24 hours.
Trial, license and usage signal: while the license or trial exists, or until you ask for deletion.
Support messages and feedback: until the matter is resolved, or until you ask for deletion.
Sales records: for as long as the law requires.

8. Your rights

Under the LGPD (art. 18) you may request: confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, anonymization or deletion, portability, information about who we share it with, and review of automated decisions. Just write to [email protected]. If you have them, include the e-mail used for the purchase or the machine ID (shown on the app's license screen). We reply within 15 days. You can also file a complaint with Brazil's data protection authority (ANPD) or the authority in your country.

9. Security

Communication with our servers is encrypted (HTTPS), licenses are digitally signed and database access is restricted. No system is 100% secure. If an incident puts you at risk, we will notify you and the ANPD.

10. Minors

Free Content is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect children's data.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
